The service will be available for viewing at the following: . Joanne E. Manser, 86, of Lacona passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Windsor Manor in Indianola. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo. Memorials in Joanne's name may be made to the Athletic Booster Clubs of SEW Warhawks or the Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils. Joanne Elizabeth Clark was born August 14, 1934 to Waldo and Wilda (Bishop) Clark in Lacona, Iowa. She was raised in Lacona alongside her twin sister, Janice. Joanne and Janice were always close. They always enjoyed summer and sunbathing together. Joanne was athletic in high school and placed in the free throw shooting contest at the Drake Fieldhouse several times over. The twins graduated from Lacona High School with the class of 1952. After graduation, Joanne worked in the local telephone office. She also worked at the Lacona Coop for several years. On March 5, 1955, Joanne was united in marriage to Dwayne Manser. The couple was blessed with three children: Michael, Michelle, and Mark. Joanne was a very loving and attentive mother. The Mansers were a farming family, raising hogs and cattle. Joanne enjoyed taking the kids fishing and working together to put the cattle in. She also looked forward to celebrating Mother's Day with her family at the horse races. Joanne and Dwayne were blessed with nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Joanne loved being a grandma. She attended as many of the grandkids sporting events as she could. Joanne will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, Dwayne Manser; children: Michael Manser, Michelle Crow, and Mark (Laura) Manser; 9 grandchildren: Grant, Wes, Garrett, Ashley, Jerrod, Abbi, Cory, Haley, and Landon; 14 great grandchildren: Kole, Brock, Emma, Brinley, Olivia, Makayla, Zane, Aaylah, Easton, Brody, Kinlie, Faith, Sadie, and Anna. She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo and Wilda Clark; and her twin sister, Janice Stanley. Visitation
