Irene Finch

Irene Elizabeth Finch, age 90, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, formerly of Bussey, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Mahaska County Hospital. Irene was born on January 30, 1919 to Robert Pierce and Ruby Elenor (Wales) Boyer in Mahaska County. She graduated from Bussey High School. On October 19, 1941, she was married to Don Finch in the Bussey Methodist Church. They were blessed with three children: Stephen, Mary, and Margaret. Irene was a member of the Bussey United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville. Irene is survived by her three children: Stephen Finch of Taejon, South Korea; Mary (Rick) Harvey of Branson, MO; and Margaret (Bruce) Van Dusseldorp of Denver, CO; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and one brother, Carl Boyer.
