Harry Dwaine Clark, Jr. passed away January 1, 2017 at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines from pneumonia resulting in respiratory failure. He was born February 20, 1956 in Osceola, IA., to the delight of his parents, Marvel L. (Stokesbury) and Harry Dwaine Clark, Sr. He graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1974. Junior lived most of his life in Lacona, except for ten years when he moved to Dalton, GA, and worked at Tappan Microwave. The last few years, Junior made his home in Chariton, IA. When he was no longer able to live by himself, he lived at the home of his nephew, Terry and Nita Durham, and was lovingly cared for by his sister Bertie. Junior was a kind and loving brother and was adored by his older sisters who affectionately referred to him as our "little" brother. Junior was interested in computers and enjoyed fishing and playing cards and chess. He was an Iowa fan and enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes play football and basketball. Junior was preceded in death by his parents Marvel and Dwaine Clark and a brother James B. Clark. He is survived by his five sisters Helen Currin, Lacona, IA., Marie (Leo) Seuferer, Lacona, IA., Bertie Rooker, Chariton, IA., Jackie (Robert) Baker, Des Moines, IA., and Joy (Terry) Appenzeller, Indianola, IA., and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5th from 5-7 P.M. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Funeral services will be held at the Lacona United Methodist Church at 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 6th with internment at the Liberty Center Cemetery.
