Glen Hickerson

Glen Hickerson, 57, of Lucas passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at his home. Glen was born on January 6, 1956 in Corydon, Iowa to William and Mary Lou (Gray) Hickerson. He received his education from Chariton High School. He attended and graduated from Des Moines Area Community College as a Certified Diesel Mechanic. Glen was married to Crystal Kunch and had a son Chad. He later married Ann Short. Glen was an excellent mechanic. He enjoyed gardening, photography, cooking and time with his family. Glen spent many years attending the Old Thrashers Reunion where he helped his dad and brothers operate their steam engine. Survivors include; son, Chad (Kelly) Hickerson of Chariton, grandchildren: Faith and Jonas Hickerson of Chariton, mother, Mary Lou Hickerson of Chariton, wife, Ann Short of Williamson, two stepsons: Jason and Jeremy Storm of Williamson, two brothers: Don Hickerson of Wilmington, Il and Gene Hickerson of Clarence, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, William Everett Hickerson and his grandparents. Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Visitation will be one hour prior from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Lucas First Responders.
