Emma was born May 15, 1916 in Buxton, Iowa to William and Anna Vaughn Smith. She was married to Kenneth Locker on September 25, 1937 in Lancaster, Missouri. They were blessed with 4 daughters: Anita, Wilma, Dorothy, and Janice. Emma was always ready to travel or go for a ride. She liked to dance and have a good time, always looking forward to family gatherings and spending time with her children and grandchildren. The Fourth of July picnics were very memorable and the family remembers the fried chicken and homemade noodles. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching. Emma passed away at Griffins Nursing Center in Knoxville on August 1, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1995; her parents; siblings: Lucy Burk, May Allison, Harry Smith, James Smith, Frank Smith, Rich Smith, and Myrtle Greene; and grandsons: Max Jones and Bob Kaster. Emma is survived by her daughters: Anita Jones of Knoxville, Wilma Huff of Newton, Dorothy (William) Fenton of Knoxville, and Janice (Joe) Kaster of Knoxville; nine grandchildren: Rex Jones, Korena Voss, Sam Huff, Sandi Audus, Suzette Fisher, Steven Fenton, Luey Fenton, Kenney Fenton, and Tina Hart; Fifteen great grandchildren: Shawn Jones, Shannon Jones, Nickie Audus, Cassie Audus, Brittany Audus, Sara Beaver, Chad Fisher, Carly Fisher, Allanah Fenton, Harley Fenton, Tanner Fenton, Trenton Fenton, Kenneth Fenton, Trisha Linville, and John Linville; and nine great great grandchildren.
