Elmer Dean Beadle

Elmer Dean Beadle, age 80, of Albia, IA died on Wednesday evening, December 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born on July 2, 1930 in Albia to George and Hazel May (Richardson) Beadle. Elmer attended School in Albia and then enlisted with the United States Army. He was a Janitor at the Monroe County Hospital for twenty-three years until his retirement. He was a member the American Legion Post 136 of Albia. He enjoyed hunting, gardening; and loved animals and going fishing. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by special friends, Jim McDonough, and Deb Moore and will be greatly missed by both. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. at the Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Albia. A Graveside Memorial Service with Rev. Neil Montz officiating and military rites conducted by the American Legion Post 136 of Albia will be held in the Spring. Memorials may be directed to the Welcome Home Soldier in Albia.
