Donald Wayne Doolittle went to Heaven on September 13, 2014. Donald Wayne Doolittle was born to Claude and Nina Doolittle on June 16, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan. Donald was a veteran of the United States Army. He served overseas in Fritzlar, Germany. It was there that he met his wife, Irmagard Stehl. Donald was a longtime resident of Truman, Minnesota. He was surrounded by wonderful neighbors. Donald was a member of the American Legion and a member of St. Katherine's Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending his time woodworking, mowing yards, making signs for the local museum, and walking his beloved dog, Munchkin. Donald is survived by his children: Ilona Strovers (Wayne) of Chariton; Monika Cobb of St. Johns, Florida; Martin Stehl (Erin) of Ponte Vedra, Florida; John Doolittle (Julie) of St. Johns, Florida; Ludwig Stehl (Anita) of Geismar, Germany; Rudi Stehl of Fritzlar, Germany; Gunther Stehl of Fritzlar, Germany; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nina Doolittle; his wife, Irmagard Doolittle; his daughter, Martina Stehl; his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and David Cross; his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Les Topper; his daughter-in-law, Ellie Stehl; and his son-in-law, Robert Cobb. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to St. Katherine's Catholic Church in Truman, Minnesota.
