Dewey Emanuel Houser was born July 27, 1923 in Albia, Iowa to Dewey and Ollie Elizabeth Jane (Repp) Houser. He was raised in the Centerville and Williamson areas. On February 27, 1943 he was united in marriage to Doris Mae Selby. To their union two sons were born: Ronald and Gary. A stranger he didn't know. Doris and Dewey also traveled for many years and wintered in Arizona before health concerns prevented further travel. This gave him even more time to spend with his family.
