Delores "Dee Dee" VanderLinden

Delores was born April 3, 1955 and grew up in the Melcher-Dallas area with her parents Henry and Geneva Becker and her brother Dennis. She graduated from Melcher-Dallas High School in 1973. Dee Dee was married to Donnie VanderLinden and was blessed with three children: Celice, Donnie, and Daniel. She enjoyed raising her family and later worked in Ankeny at the Stone Container Co. and most recently at Northcote Locker in Melcher-Dallas. Dee Dee loved to have fun with her friends and family. She liked taking walks, talking, shopping, movies, and animals - especially horses. Dee Dee wanted to help everyone, always taking care of her family and friends. Dee Dee passed away October 18, 2008 at the Comfort House Hospice in Pella. She was preceded in death by her mother Geneva Becker. Dee Dee is survived by her father Henry (Evelyn) Becker of Melcher-Dallas; her children: Celice VanderLinden of Lacona, Donnie VanderLinden of Indianola, and Daniel (Julie) VanderLinden of Centerville; 5 grandchildren; and her brother Dennis (Kay) Becker of Newton.
