DeDe Robbins

Memorials In care of DeDe's family Mary Ellen (DuQuette) Robbins was born July 1, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa, to John and Sophia DuQuette. She graduated from Des Moines East and later married Sherman Bud Robbins on September 6, 1950, in Patterson, Iowa on the farm. DeDe has worked at Bennoni's, Clark's Ceramics, Montgomery Ward, and retired from Pleasantville School after working there for 13 years. She enjoyed gambling, reading, dancing, playing tic-tac-toe, and dominos. She liked hummingbirds, especially loved her family and having fun. DeDe passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband, Bud; granddaughter, Nikki Robinson; great grandchildren: Madison and Caleb Robinson all of New Sharon; brother, Buzz DuQuette of Des Moines; and sister, Dottie Onder of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her son, Sherman Robbins Jr; daughter, Donna Robbins; siblings: Pickie Bash, Dewey White, Rose Doubleday, and Betty Garren.
