Darrell Flesher Sr.

The American Legion will provide burial honors at the cemetery. MEMORIALS Darrell's Family Darrell was born February 20, 1930 in Patterson, Iowa to Bruce and Orilda Flesher. He was married to Mary Maxwell in Winterset on November 19, 1956 and they were blessed with eight children: Sheryl, Karan, Sandy, Darla, Darrell Jr., Marcia, Billy, and Jimmy. Darrell served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at many jobs always helping family, friends, and neighbors. Darrell worked at the rock quarry and at Nestaway for many years. He enjoyed his doing things with his family. Darrell liked playing softball, deer hunting, fishing, reading Westerns, and going to church. He always had a story to share and loved to visit. Darrell would do anything for anyone and was always there for his family and friends. Darrell passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings: Maxine Brittan, Darlene Cedars, Willard Flesher, and Willis Flesher. Darrell is survived by his wife, Mary; children: Sheryl (Sam) Bingham, Karan (Kenny) Willoughby, Sandy (Tim) Ward, Darla Mason, Darrell (Utonda) Flesher Jr., Marcia (Mike) Graves, Billy (Porchia) Flesher, and Jimmy (Ann) Flesher; 30 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and siblings: Melzine Roberts, Gayla Burk, and Don Flesher.
