Services for Carla will be held on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Family will receive friends Monday beginning at 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home in Melcher-Dallas. Interment will be at a later date at the Dallas Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Carla's family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com Carla Jean Lash daughter of Donald Eugene and Margaret (VanderEcken) Lash was born on May 27, 1956 in Iowa City, Iowa. Carla appreciated the outdoors, she enjoyed to fish and mushroom hunt. She liked to tell stories. Carla's sense of humor was one of a kind. Her special loving qualities of being so helpful, kind and considerate made her loved by everyone that knew her. Carla's family was everything to her, especially her grandchildren. Carla passed away on June 14, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of 51 years. Carla is survived by her husband Chuck Goering of Russell, mother Margaret (Bill) Morrow of Chariton, daughter Valeria (Shawn) Rich of Russell, sons: James Phillips Jr. of Knoxville, and Jason Phillips of Springfield, IL; step children: Chasity (Jeff) Mease of West Des Moines, Chuck Goering Jr., Casey Goering, and Cody Goering all of Melcher; 7 grandchildren; siblings: Bonnie Lash of Russell, Penny Jones of Melcher, and Donald Lash of Springfield.
