Beth Oxenreider

Memorials to the Chariton Christian Union Church. Beth Ann Oxenreider was born August 29, 1947 in Chariton, Iowa to Vernard and Evelyn Mitchell Oxenreider. She grew up in the Oakley and Chariton area and enjoyed working at the Lucas County Courthouse for many years and also helped in the kitchen at Jericho Hills. Beth was a farm girl and enjoyed gardening, canning, picking up walnuts and she especially enjoyed cooking. She enjoyed going to church, singing hymns, and visiting her friends. She loved the Hawkeyes just like her brothers and made sure to listen to the games on the radio. Beth also loved music and going to local music jams. Beth had a sweet and gentle spirit and was friendly and kind to all. She had a great sense of humor and loved being with her family and friends. Beth passed away February 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father Vernard in 2002 and brother Craig in 2009. She is survived by her mother Evelyn Oxenreider; sister Joanie Oxenreider; brother Roe Oxenreider; aunt Lavida Richards; uncles: Bernard Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, and Richard Mitchell and many other relatives and friends.
