Adahmarie Hyatt passed away April 15, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Memorials may be made to the New Hope United Methodist Church in Melcher-Dallas or to the Melcher-Dallas Library. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A private graveside service will be held at the Dallas Cemetery. Adahmarie was born January 18, 1938 to Robert and Honor Gray in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised alongside her sister, Kathy, and her brother, Tom. After high school graduation, Adahmarie went on to further her education at Iowa State University. It was there that she met the love of her life, Harold "Scotty" Hyatt. On May 14, 1960, Adahmarie and Scotty were united in marriage. The couple was blessed with three sons: Harold Robert, Timothy Craig, and Alan Scott. Scotty joined the Army and served during Vietnam. His military career took his family all over the world. Scotty and Adahmarie eventually made their home in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. Adahmarie worked at many different jobs but her true passion was painting and crafts. She owned her own shop for many years. Adahmarie was an incredibly talented painter. She loved to teach classes and shared her passion for painting with others. Adahmarie also enjoyed bird watching and gardening. Adahmarie and Scotty were blessed with grandchildren who lovingly called Adahmarie, Nana. She cherished her family and enjoyed every moment spent with Scotty, her boys, and their families. Adahmarie will be greatly missed by her sons: Harold Robert (Gayle) Hyatt, Timothy Craig (Ruth) Hyatt, and Alan Scott Hyatt; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brother, Tom Gray; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Adahmarie was preceded in death by her husband, Scotty, her parents, Robert and Honor Gray, and her sister, Kathy Wagner. Events Details are pending.
