Sam Bingham

April 29, 1952 — February 2, 2018

Samuel G. Bingham, of Pleasantville, formerly of Melcher-Dallas, passed away February 2, 2018 at the age of 65. Services will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Melcher-Dallas. Interment will be at Dallas Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Samuel Gene Bingham and his twin Stanley were born on April 29, 1952 in Chariton, Iowa to Harold Lee "Spot" and Bellouise "Belle" Bingham. They were the youngest of seven boys. He grew up in Melcher-Dallas and graduated from Melcher Dallas High School in 1971. He was married to Sheryl Flesher on December 10, 1977 and they were blessed with three children: Jeff, Jason, and Shera. Sam worked as a carpenter his entire life. He was very talented and always willing to help with any project for a friend, the church, or anyone in the community. He will be remembered for his kind heart, finding the good in everyone, and for being strong willed and determined. Sam was all about family. He loved having everyone together: his wife, children, and grandchildren, along with all of his extended family and friends. Samuel is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sheryl Bingham; children: Jeff (Cher) Bingham, Jason (Tami) Bingham, and Shera (Brian) Kennedy; 8 grandchildren; twin brother, Stan (Deb) Bingham; brother, Denny (Pat) Bingham; brother, Danny Bingham; and sister-in-law, Linda Bingham. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lee "Spot" and Bell Bingham; brother, Lee Bingham; brother, Jerry and his wife, Deb Bingham; and infant brother, Johnnie Bingham.
